EDITORIAL PURPOSE

The Hatchet is an online quarterly journal devoted to the examination and investigation of true crime, Victorian America, mysteries, andthe Borden Murders of 1892. Written for both the novice and seasoned Lizzie Borden enthusiast, The Hatchet takes a literate and entertaining approach through wide-ranging feature essays, reviews and criticism, interviews, fiction, art, poetry, and humor. Fact-filled, The Hatchet contains contributions by authors, poets, non-fiction writers, and Lizzie Borden scholars worldwide. Submissions are open and all authors and artists will receive monetary compensation for their work.

CAVEAT

The opinions of contributors are not necessarily those of the editors. We can take no responsibility for submissions, but will take all reasonable care of materials in our possession. Should you mail you your work for any reason (remember we prefer email) all requests for the return of materials should be accompanied by a stamped, self-addressed envelope.

We occasionally use material that has been placed in the public domain. It is not always possible to identify the copyright holder. If you claim credit for something we've published we will be pleased to make acknowledgment and compensation, or remove the item per your written request.

CLASSIFIED ADS


You can place classified ads in this subscription only magazine! Ads coast only $0.10 a word for subscribers and $0.20 a word for non-subscribers. PO Box numbers count as three words. Phone numbers and zip codes count as one word. Box around the ad for only $3.00. Bold headings are only $2.00.

We reserve the right not to print unsuitable ads. Payment must be received in advance of the publication of the issue in which you wish to place your ad.
